Black Vegan Movement
As of recent, I feel so empowered. That is because I feel the Black vegan movement has catapulted into the awakening of nutritional consciousness. This really gives me hope. I can see that our people aren’t as lost as I thought we were.
My story dates back to 2012 when I first decided that I wanted to make an incredible difference in my life. That’s when I decided that my lifestyle needed serious reforming and restructuring. I was 25 years old, and I was suffering from health complications that most people my age wouldn’t experience until they reached their fifties. I found this unacceptable. That was then I discovered my true purpose for life. Here I am 60 pounds lighter, and in the best shape of my life. Not only am I now a Vegan/Plant Base diet advocate, but I am a living testimony of weight loss and transitioning.
Since this is my first blog, I’m not going to overly describe my journey, but I will share my goal and dreams with the family. I want to become a licensed clinical nutritionist. I want to teach basic biology and human anatomy. This will give people a better understanding of how to take care of themselves instead of relying on the medical and pharmaceutical industry. I also believe that the holistic healing approach is the best and ONLY way of curing our people from disease and sicknesses. The true healing comes from the nature embedded in the Earth. If these things are accomplished, and black people gain knowledge of self based on diet and nutrition, I feel all the other components will fall into place.
Peace Peace Family!
