Peace Be Still
August 8, 2016
We all are in search of it, yet how does one obtain it?
Many of us resort to music, some take a walk, some call up a friend that loves to share positivity. Some write, some blog, some lie-down. Whatever your thing is, that’s good, but what I have learned through trial and error is that peace is obtained when we become still.
Let me explain.
Running away from noise and confusion will only cause us to be productive for so long because the truth is we will still be taunted by whatever that negative thing is. In fact, until you face your fears [and problems] with positivity you will always have a desire to seek a higher power or force of peace. When you channel your thoughts back to your center or your core, you will travel to a place that will allow you to realign your thoughts and reorder your steps. By activating this process, you will walk right into the peace your inner man [woman] is desiring.
Create a space in your mind that is filled with words of positive affirmation, and peaceful melodies or spiritual songs. Paint the walls with colors of tranquility and decorate it with furniture that allows you to recline and relax. Normally we search for this on the outside first, but one must first start from within in order to maximize the fullness of what their heart desires.
Let me give you an example: What would happen if you had no place to escape in the physical? Let’s say you were working a 9-5 and the day was panning out to look as if you were not having any good luck. What would you do? Would you leave work? Would you curse out your boss? Would you protest and opt to not do any work? What would you do? Nine times out of ten you would stay. Now imagine what that would look like for you to stay in peace versus staying in calamity and chaos and confusion. Looks really good, doesn’t it? Feels pretty good too, right? Begin to drive all of your thoughts back to your center [your core]. Your center is the place where you were birthed from. It’s your very essence, it’s who you are.
The poet, James Baldwin, said, “Know from whence you came. If you know whence you came, there are absolutely no limitations to where you can go.”
So see, once you travel to the place where you come from you can then be released into the place where you were predestined to go. It’s not the job that’s the problem, or the lack of money, or whatever other thousands of reasons we blame for our downfall, it’s us not remaining in our center…our sense of peace.
I want to invite you today to walk away from whatever is distracting you and causing you to not move forward and walk into the life you imagined with the assertiveness and peace you need to get the job done. Realign your spirit with your purpose and then launch out into the deep. I promise you, you will go even further than where you were before.
Be encouraged. Be inspired. Be who you were created to be.
Bella Grace is a woman that is on fire! She has been compared to a rising phoenix because of her ability to arise from an attack that had her listed as dead on arrival, to becoming a woman that has arrived at her appointed next level of living with purpose. Her resilient spirit and transparent smile allows each person to know that you can have what you say when you believe in your heart and confess it with your mouth and in your work. Her passion to help single mothers and others has been the driving force to allow Bella Grace to achieve the success she has obtained to date. When asked if she would do it all over again, Bella Grace responded and said, “Yes, because it would make me even stronger.” She is more than a minister and life coach and single mother, Bella Grace is a woman of worth!
